New deliverable about Transport Modelling Approaches published
The deliverable describes the models and algorithms developed to incorporate emerging mobility solutions into strategic transport models, both in terms of supply and demand. As part of this task, the document presents the algorithms and models, which were developed in the MOMENTUM project under the leadership of TU Munich, with support from Aimsun, CERTH, TML, Nommon and Deusto.
The overview of the technical developments is based on the test cases from our four MOMENTUM cities of Regensburg, Thessaloniki, Leuven and Madrid, which was proposed in the deliverable D2.2. You can download the entire deliverable here.
Main outcomes of Deliverable 4.1:
- A list of modules, which encompasses the various developments required to model emerging mobility solutions. This could be used as a basis by the future researchers for extending the research on modelling frameworks for emerging mobility solutions.
- A set of models and algorithms for modelling different aspects of the emerging mobility solutions. This set of models and algorithms include, inter alia, demand and supply models, fleet management- and car ownership models. Furthermore, the set includes different static and dynamic emission models.
- An intermediate modelling framework, which integrates the principles of agent-based approaches within the traditional four-step approach, providing an opportunity for cities to evaluate and integrate shared mobility systems, and form long term planning strategy.
